Often, suppliers on the Alibaba website will do this sort of prep work on behalf of the seller, but if a seller wants to purchase inventory from, say, Aliexpress, these suppliers don’t do any prep work.
FBA inspection companies provide services to Amazon FBA sellers who want a third-party company to receive their inventory from suppliers in China, do the prep work, and then forward that inventory to FBA.
So, what do inspection companies offer? They offer a wide range of services, from simple product inspections and forwarding to FBA, to complete repackaging, labeling, creating bundles and multi-packs, and more—some even provide custom packaging with your logo and design.
How much do these services cost?
Most third-party FBA inspection/prep companies require a minimum order of around $100. Prices are usually per unit and depend on the service or services you want to use. The cheapest service is a simple inspection and forward (which always includes affixing the required FBA shipping label to the shipping box), typically around $0.35 per unit. Services like bundling and creating multi-packs can cost $1 per bundle/pack, and barcode labeling costs around $0.20 per unit.
