Amazon sales are typically at least doubled over the Black Friday to Cyber Monday weekend. This year, Black Friday lands on November 24th, and Cyber Monday, November 27th.
What does this mean for you as an Amazon seller?
That depends on where you are on your journey. To take advantage of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, Amazon recommends having your inventory at the FBA warehouse by October 26th to ensure it is ready to be fulfilled when the sale begins. If you are a novice seller, just getting started, and perhaps with a listing that is still very new and not yet getting a lot of visibility, then you may not see any difference in sales on those key days. In this case, stocking up on extra inventory would make no sense.
On the other hand, if you have a listing that is a bit more established or you have the experience to get new listings going quickly, in this case, it could make sense to get more inventory. And, if you don’t sell as much as you expected, you still have at least two more weeks of the Christmas shopping period left to go!
