After postponing the initial plan for 2023, Amazon finally launched its South African marketplace in the first week of May 2024.

As with most other Amazon marketplaces, there are two selling plans: the Individual selling plan and the Professional selling plan. There are no monthly subscription fees for the Individual plan, but the Professional plan has a monthly fee of R400. However, at the time of writing this post, the fees are discounted to just R1 for a limited time.
Also, as with most other marketplaces, sellers can take advantage of FBA to store and deliver their inventory directly from Amazon’s warehouses to customers.
