New Amazon affiliates typically earn tens to the low hundreds of dollars monthly at first. However, with the right niche, traffic growth, and content strategy, it’s possible to scale up to thousands — and in some cases, tens of thousands — per month.
Even small to mid-sized blogs or websites can consistently earn several hundred to a few thousand dollars a month.

Many beginners earn under $100 per month in their first few months. But, as you gain experience and traffic, monthly earnings can climb to $100–$1,000 within the first year. Intermediate affiliates often earn $1,000–$5,000+/month. And, the top 10% of Amazon affiliates make an average of just under $9,000 per month.
A few high-earning affiliates make as much as $40,000 – $50,000 a month, but these affiliates are outliers and generally have a very large audience.
Building a strong affiliate income stream typically takes 6–12 months or more, and the niche/subject of the blog or website will play a big part in its success. Smaller, more focused niches are better than large, broad niches. For example, ‘cycling’ is a large, broad niche because there are several different types of cycling–Mountain biking, road cycling, gravel cycling, BMX, fat biking, pack biking, and cyclocross. Choosing just one type of cycling and focusing on it is a much easier and smarter strategy overall.
