Do you have a branded listing on Amazon? Or, are you planning to launch one? Either way, you will want to maximise sales, and most sellers with branded listings will try their hand at PPC. But, with PPC you pay for clicks to your listing, even if those clicks don’t result in sales, and as many of my students can testify, PPC can eat away most, if not all, of your profits.
Another way to advertise your Amazon listing is through affiliates. Many affiliates promote Amazon products on their blogs and websites. In return, they are paid a commission from Amazon for each sale that results from a click-through from the affiliate’s website/blog. For the seller, this can mean a big boost in sales. However, it’s very difficult to get decent affiliates to promote ‘unproven’ listings. Affiliates tend to look for listings with lots of good reviews and a high sales volume. Newer listings don’t have these things, and therefore don’t usually catch the attention of affiliates.
Affyscout aims to overcome the problem that new brands on Amazon have when it comes to attracting affiliates. As an Amazon seller with a brand (you must have a brand), you can create a campaign on Affyscout, and, through the use of AI, your listings are matched with the most suitable affiliates. You, the seller, pay for performance, not just clicks.
Note: I have no association with Affyscout. I’m simply sharing information about another option (and possibly a better option) to PPC!
